Wayne entered their tilt with Mynderse Academy on Thursday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. They blew past the Blue Devils 11-5. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Eagles have posted against the Blue Devils since May 27, 2021.

Reese Sinclair spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on four hits.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Myia Eskander, who went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Gianna DePaul also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Wayne kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 13.2.

Wayne's record now sits at 7-8. As for Mynderse Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wayne will head out to challenge Palmyra-Macedon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Raiders have averaged an impressive 11.2 runs per game this season. As for Mynderse Academy, they will venture away from home to square off against Lyons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
