After flying high against the Seligman Antelopes last Tuesday, the Ash Fork Spartans came back down to earth. Ash Fork fell 21-9 to Fredonia on Friday. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Ash Fork in their matchups with Fredonia: they've now lost eight in a row.
Crystal Nixon was Ash Fork's leading scorer, having posted four points.
Julissa Nixon held things down on the boards with five rebounds.
Fredonia was led to victory by Charlie Anderson and Danni Waters. Anderson scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals, while Waters scored four points along with three steals.
Ash Fork has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-16 record this season. As for Fredonia, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 10-7.
