It was a good run, but St. John unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the University School Preppers, falling 7-1.

St. John saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Anderson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

St. John's defeat dropped their record down to 12-4. As for University School, their win was their 21st straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 18-2.

Looking ahead, St. John will venture away from home to square off against Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for University School, they will host Mentor at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cardinals' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Preppers' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
