Even though the Pontotoc Warriors scored an imposing 68 points on Tuesday, the New Albany Bulldogs still came out on top. New Albany took down Pontotoc 84-68. The win made it back-to-back wins for New Albany.
New Albany got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Braden Shettles out in front who scored 20 points. The contest was Shettles' sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Dee Johnson, who scored 19 points.
New Albany has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 7-1 record. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 76.5 points per game. As for Pontotoc, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. New Albany will stay at home for another game and welcome Ingomar at 7:30 p.m. on December 7th. Ingomar knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully New Albany likes a good challenge. As for Pontotoc, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Tupelo at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
