Monett won the last time they faced Reeds Spring and things went their way on Saturday too. Monett put the hurt on Reeds Spring with a sharp 10-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cubs.

Aidan Clapper made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 14 over five innings pitched. Clapper was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Samuel Carr, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Landyn Brandt, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-1.

Monett's record is now 2-0. As for Reeds Spring, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
