Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Deep Creek). They walked away with a 91-83 victory over the Grassfield Grizzlies on Tuesday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Hornets as it put an end to their seven-game losing streak.

Several Grizzlies players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Grant Worley, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 14 rebounds. Worley's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Jacey Lewis, who went 9 of 20 en route to 29 points and six boards.

Deep Creek's victory bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Grassfield, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Deep Creek has already played their next matchup (against Western Branch), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Grassfield will face off against Great Bridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Grassfield is facing Great Bridge at the right time seeing as Great Bridge is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
