If the Flint Hill Huskies were feeling good off their 50-20 takedown of the St. James Saints last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Flint Hill took a 63-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of West Potomac on Thursday.
When it comes to explaining why Flint Hill lost, one person who can't be blamed is Raigan McCalla. Despite the final result, she dropped a double-double on 25 points and 16 rebounds. The contest was McCalla's ninth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lynette Doku, who scored 12 points.
Flint Hill's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for West Potomac, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-4.
Flint Hill will finish 2023 at home by hosting South Lakes at 1:15 p.m. on Friday. South Lakes is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. West Potomac is on the road again on Friday and play against Stone Bridge at 4:45 p.m. on December 29th.
