The Patton Springs Rangers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 13th straight defeat. They were dealt a 66-34 loss at the hands of Guthrie. Patton Springs has not had much luck with Guthrie recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Patton Springs' defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Ramirez is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jet Ramirez, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Patton Springs' loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-17. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Guthrie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-18.
Patton Springs didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 88-35 defeat vs. Jayton on the 12th. Guthrie will play host again and welcome Spur, where tip off is scheduled for 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Spur has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
