The Lyman Memorial Bulldogs have not had quite the year their fans were hoping for to this point, but back-to-back wins may be a sign of good things to come. They walked away with a 49-36 victory over Putnam on Friday. That's another feather in the cap for Lyman Memorial, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Lyman Memorial to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kevin Botticello, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 12 rebounds. Botticello is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last four games he's played. Jordan Chandler was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Several Clippers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Noah Rudman, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals. Rudman hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Travis Fredette, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Lyman Memorial's victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-7. As for Putnam, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
