The Father Capodanno Grunts fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They breezed by New Life Christian Academy at home to the tune of 62-10. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Father Capodanno has managed all season.
Father Capodanno found their leader in underclassman Jonah Marsh, who scored 14 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Sam Attar, who scored ten points.
Father Capodanno's win ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 4-14. As for New Life Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Father Capodanno won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lee Christian at 6:30 p.m. on January 30th. Lee Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 265 points over their last four matchups. New Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
