The Oak Glen Golden Bears were the 56-41 winner over the East Liverpool Potters when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Oak Glen took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of East Liverpool. Oak Glen has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Several Golden Bears players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Reecelyn Craig, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds and two steals. Craig hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kami Ward, who scored 16 points along with two steals.
East Liverpool's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kenzie Headley, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Headley hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. Aynsley Galeoti was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Oak Glen now has a losing record at 8-9. As for East Liverpool, their victory bumped their record up to 11-9.
Oak Glen will look to defend their home court on Monday against East Liverpool at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully East Liverpool focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Thursday.
