Basketball Recap: Southeastern Homeschool Piles Up the Points Against DASH

Southeastern HomeSchool entered their tilt with DASH on Saturday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They really took it to the DASH United for the full four quarters, racking up an 86-39 win. The Cardinals have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six contests by 25 points or more this season.

Leading Southeastern HomeSchool to victory were Blake Batts and Max Brutus. Batts went 12 of 24 en route to 32 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Brutus dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 boards. Batts' afternoon made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brice Griffin, who went 5 of 11 on his way to 12 points and five rebounds.

Southeastern HomeSchool smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive boards in six consecutive games.

Southeastern HomeSchool's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.6 points per game. As for DASH, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-6 record this season.

Southeastern HomeSchool will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hobbton at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. DASH will take on Oak Forest in a holiday battle at at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
