Legacy has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against the Galena Grizzlies at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
With a playoff game on the line, Legacy rose to the challenge on Friday. They strolled past Palo Verde with points to spare, taking the game 34-18.
Meanwhile, Galena faced Douglas in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Galena walked away with a 18-7 victory over Douglas on Friday. Winning may never get old, but Galena sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Galena can attribute much of their success to Colson Kermode, who rushed for 140 yards and two touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Galena's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Maclain Mcbride was especially locked on to Douglas' QB and sacked him twice.
Legacy's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 35.3 points per game. As for Galena, their win bumped their record up to 7-5.
