The Ridgemont Golden Gophers lost against the Riverdale Falcons back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Ridgemont had to suffer through a rough 55-24 loss at the hands of Riverdale. Ridgemont has not had much luck with Riverdale recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Kylie Shreve was Ridgemont's leading scorer, having posted ten points.
Jayda Dondrea held things down on the boards with 15 rebounds.
Ridgemont's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Riverdale, the victory got them back to even at 10-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ridgemont will take on Waynesfield-Goshen at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Ridgemont is facing Waynesfield-Goshen at the right time seeing as Waynesfield-Goshen is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Riverdale, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Upper Sandusky at 7:30 p.m. on February 13th. Upper Sandusky is coming into the match with six straight victories on the road, so Riverdale is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
