The Lake View Wild Gators suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Saturday. They suffered a tough 71-46 defeat at the hands of Trinity Collegiate. While losing is never fun, Lake View can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 244th, while Trinity Collegiate is ranked 89th).
Despite the loss, Lake View still got an impressive performance from DJ Hardee, who scored 15 points.
Landon Wilson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Trinity Collegiate, scoring 21 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilson has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Evan Williams, who scored 13 points.
Lake View's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Trinity Collegiate, they now have a winning record of 7-6.
Lake View will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Dillon Christian at 8:00 p.m. One thing working in Dillon Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests. As for Trinity Collegiate, they will take on Lugoff-Elgin at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Lugoff-Elgin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 last Friday.
