Charlie Nigut Delivers Electric Effort Vs Southmoreland
Starting off the list is Elizabeth Forward's Charlie Nigut, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Nigut rushed for 145 yards and three touchdowns, and also picked up 52 receiving yards.
Nigut might have his next game, a road matchup with Mt. Pleasant, circled on his calendar. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Nigut saw the Vikings), he rushed for 116 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.3 yards per carry, and also picked up 39 receiving yards and a touchdown.

On Friday, Elizabeth Forward got the W thanks in part to Aj Grese playing the best football he has all season. Grese picked up 87 receiving yards, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
This year, Grese has averaged 42.3 receiving yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 18.89 receiving yards per game.

Ty Whoric Makes It Two for Southmoreland

Rounding off our Top Five is Aidan Shaffer of Yough. Shaffer picked up 96 receiving yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, connecting on a big catch for 65 yards.
Shaffer will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Derry on Friday. Shaffer will face off against Damauri Robinson on Friday, the Trojans' star receiver. With so much talent on the field, fans are surely in for an exciting game. The only thing left to see is who brings home the W.
