Sadly, the Wakefield Bombers are still looking for their first win of the season after 16 games. They were dealt a 55-26 defeat at the hands of Peabody-Burns on Monday. Wakefield has not had much luck with Peabody-Burns recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Peabody-Burns found their leader in underclassman Jameson Miles, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and ten rebounds. Miles has been hot recently, having posted ten or more rebounds the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Aiden Hurst, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Wakefield's loss was their 18th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Peabody-Burns, their victory ended a six-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-15.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing St. Xavier the next time they take the court. Wakefield will host St. Xavier at TBD on Tuesday, while Peabody-Burns will head out to face them at TBD on Friday.
