The Cross Creek Razorbacks's 24-5 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They lost to Carver on the road by a decisive 76-57 margin on Friday. While losing is never fun, Cross Creek can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 131st, while Carver is ranked 31st).
Despite the loss, Cross Creek still got an impressive performance from Micheala Bogans, who scored 30 points. The contest was Bogans' third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of JaNya Wiley, who scored 9 points.
Cross Creek now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Carver, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.
Cross Creek will take on Hardaway at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Carver, they will face off against Veterans at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday.
