The Holy Cross Knights will head out on the road to challenge the Hill Country Christian School of Austin Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Holy Cross is no doubt hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
Holy Cross put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat John Paul II 77-46 at home. Given Holy Cross' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 580th, while the Centurions are ranked 1254th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Hill Country Christian School of Austin had to suffer through a rough 72-38 loss at the hands of the Bears. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Hill Country Christian School of Austin has scored all season.
Holy Cross' win bumped their record up to 15-10. As for Hill Country Christian School of Austin, their loss dropped their record down to 22-4.
Holy Cross came up short against the Knights when the teams last played back in December of 2023, falling 71-59. Can Holy Cross avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
