Meanwhile, Lake Zurich strolled into their game  on Saturday with an undefeated  record and they left with the same. They never let Lakes get on the board and left with  a   2-0  victory. The score was all tied up  0-0 at the break, but Lake Zurich were the  better team in the second half.
 Emily Bowen and  Reilly Novak scored both of Lake Zurich's goals,  bringing their combined season tally to five goals.
 Lake Zurich's win was  their fourth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 6-0-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero  goals over those four  matches. As for Vernon Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5-1.
