The Randolph-Clay Red Devils have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 76-33 victory over Quitman County on the road. That's another feather in the cap for Randolph-Clay, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Randolph-Clay found their leader in underclassman Tyrion Smith, who scored 16 points along with six rebounds and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for him. Je'Sus Daniels was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 13 rebounds.
Randolph-Clay's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Quitman County, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Randolph-Clay will be home for the holidays to greet Abbeville at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Abbeville is coming into the match on a four-game losing streak. Quitman County will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pataula Charter Academy at 3:30 p.m. on January 6, 2024.
