Cumberland Christian Academy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They claimed a resounding 88-28 victory over Greater Atlanta Adventist Academy at home. The win was some much needed relief for Cumberland Christian Academy as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Arlington Christian came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.8 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against Hills Academy by a score of 67-58.
Arlington Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Davon Aikens, who scored 19 points along with three steals. Aikens hasn't dropped below two steals for seven straight games. Another player making a difference was Chezi Essel, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Cumberland Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Arlington Christian, they pushed their record up to 8-6 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Cumberland Christian Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Arlington Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 60-56 win.
