The Troy Trojans won the last time they faced the Washington County Tigers, and things went their way on Friday too. Troy came out on top in a nail-biter against Washington County and snuck past 48-45.
Troy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Jack Hartman out in front who scored nine points along with 15 rebounds and three steals. Hartman hasn't dropped below eight rebounds for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Christian Etherton, who scored 15 points along with two steals.
Troy's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for Washington County, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-6 record this season.
Troy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Centralia at 7:30 p.m. Centralia and Troy are at an even 5-5 over their past ten head-to-heads. As for Washington County, they will head out on the road to take on Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Linn has three straight victories, Washington County has three straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
