Meanwhile, Laney took a blow against Havelock last Friday, falling 46-15.
Laney wouldn't let Havelock keep a hold of the ball as they managed to force three fumbles. It was truly a group effort as Koran Floyd-Sutton, Kadorien Wallace, and Jordan Mosley picked up one apiece.
Cape Fear's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Laney, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Cape Fear came up short against Laney in their previous meeting back in September of 2023, falling 28-21.
