The North Miami Beach Chargers will be home for the holidays to greet the Hialeah Thoroughbreds at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
North Miami Beach unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They were beaten by Central 68-41. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Miami Beach has scored all season.
Despite the loss, North Miami Beach got a solid performance out of Jaycob Joseph, who scored 16 points. Joseph scored a full 39% of North Miami Beach's points, the seventh time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Archie Senatus, who scored five points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Hialeah pushed their score all the way to 61 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They took a 71-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Hialeah Gardens. It was the first time this season that Hialeah let down their fans at home.
North Miami Beach's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Hialeah, their loss ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-1.
North Miami Beach took their win against Hialeah in their previous matchup back in February of 2022 by a conclusive 84-63. Does North Miami Beach have another victory up their sleeve, or will Hialeah turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
