The Silver Creek Raptors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 64-35 victory over Greeley West. Perhaps unsurprisinly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest win of the season.
Silver Creek's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Izzy Spagnoletti led the charge by scoring 20 points. Spagnoletti is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last four games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery White, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.
Despite the loss, Greeley West still got an impressive performance from Niyat Teame, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
The win was the third in a row for Silver Creek, bringing their record for this year to 6-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Greeley West, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Silver Creek will face off against Holy Family at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Holy Family is coming into the matchup with eight straight victories at home, so Silver Creek is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum. As for Greeley West, they will head out on the road to challenge Centaurus at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Centaurus will be up against Greeley West's rather soft defense (which has allowed 50.67 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
