The Basha Bears's three-game losing streak came to an end on Monday. They came out on top against Corona del Sol by a score of 52-45. The win was just what Basha needed coming off of a 88-40 defeat in their prior match.
Leading Basha to victory were Grace Beckler and Audrey O'Connor. Beckler dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 rebounds, while O'Connor scored 25 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points O'Connor has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rose Bosch, who scored three points.
The win got Basha back to even at 10-10. As for Corona del Sol, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-13 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Basha will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Hamilton at 7:00 p.m. on January 18th. As for Corona del Sol, they will face off against Chandler at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Chandler is out to stop a six-game streak of losses at home.
