The Oakville Acorns will head out on the road to face off against the LaConner Braves at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. LaConner took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Oakville, who comes in off a win.
Oakville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Pope John Paul II 48-23. The victory was just what Oakville needed coming off of a 36-7 loss in their prior match.
It was another big night for Alyssa Forsythe, who scored 21 points. Forsythe set a new season high mark in points with 21. The team also got some help courtesy of Andrea Mendez, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, LaConner unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 33-20 to Kingston. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points LaConner has scored all season.
Oakville's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for LaConner, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-2.
