The Silver Creek Raptors had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They breezed by Roosevelt on the road to the tune of 66-39. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 38-14.
Silver Creek found their leader in underclassman Luke Schmeeckle, who scored 14 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Ashoka Surkhang, who scored 12 points.
Despite the loss, Roosevelt still got an impressive performance from Harvey Trevino-patton, who scored 10 points.
Silver Creek's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Roosevelt, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Silver Creek will head out on the road to face off against Eagle Ridge Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. Roosevelt won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Fort Collins at 6:30 p.m. on November 29th.
