The West Carroll War Eagles lost against the Middleton Tigers back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. West Carroll took a 57-43 bruising from Middleton. West Carroll has not had much luck with Middleton recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Middleton's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Taquinis Mitchell led the charge by scoring six points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Mitchell is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last six games he's played. Another player making a difference was Tamarcus Smith, who scored four points along with seven assists and five rebounds.
West Carroll's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Middleton, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
West Carroll will head out on the road to square off against Clarksburg at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. West Carroll is facing Clarksburg at the right time seeing as Clarksburg is stuck on a five-game losing streak. Middleton does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
