The Enderlin Eagles's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their 12th straight loss. They took a serious blow against Hankinson, falling 63-35. While losing is never fun, Enderlin can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked 119th, while Hankinson is ranked 17th).
Enderlin lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ayden Glarum, who scored ten points. Another player making a difference was Brenan Bartholomay, who scored four points.
Even though they lost, Enderlin smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Enderlin dropped their record down to 1-12 with that defeat, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Hankinson, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 10-1.
Enderlin will head out on the road to square off against Richland at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Richland focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday. As for Hankinson, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sargent County at 7:00 p.m.
