The Charter Oak Chargers entered their tilt with the Claremont Wolfpack with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Charter Oak enjoyed a cozy 56-42 victory over Claremont on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Charter Oak also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
When it comes to explaining why Claremont lost, one person who can't be blamed is Hugo Montejo. Despite the final result, he scored 18 points along with 3 steals. Montejo scored a full 42.9% of Claremont's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Silas Mascarin, who scored 8 points.
Charter Oak now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Claremont, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wilson the next time they take the court. Charter Oak will host Wilson at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while Claremont will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
