The Christ the King Gladiators and the Kennedy Crusaders will face off at 11:00 a.m. on January 27th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Christ the King sitting on three straight wins and Kennedy on five.
On Thursday, Christ the King didn't have too much trouble with Cristo Rey Jesuit on the road as they won 44-27.
Meanwhile, Kennedy was able to grind out a solid victory over Brooks on Thursday, taking the game 44-32.
Christ the King is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Kennedy, they pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their fifth straight at home.
Christ the King took their victory against Kennedy when the teams last played back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 53-27. Will Christ the King repeat their success, or does Kennedy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
