First Preparatory Christian Academy had won four straight games and Jaiden Thomas did his part to make it five on Thursday. The First Preparatory Christian Academy Highlanders simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bethesda Academy Blazers 94-67 thanks to Thomas, who went 12-for-22 on his way to 36 points in addition to seven boards and five steals. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last five games he's played.

Malachi Furlow was another key player, going 6-for-14 en route to 15 points and five steals. He has been hot, having posted two or more steals the last eight times he's played.

Despite the loss, Bethesda Academy still got an impressive performance from Israel Wright, who went 11-for-21 to rack up 32 points and four steals. Wright is becoming a predictor of Bethesda Academy's success: when he posts at least 20 points the team is 6-3 (and 5-8 when he doesn't). Another player making a difference was Franky Jackson, who went 7-for-9 on his way to 15 points.

First Preparatory Christian Academy pushed their record up to 13-3 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 33.2 points. As for Bethesda Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 11-11.
