While Cooper put up plenty of runs on Friday, the same can't be said for Saltillo. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Lions. Considering the Bulldogs have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

John Ramos made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in March. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Cooper got a massive performance out of Julian Castorena, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Castorena has posted since back in March. Brayden Williams was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Cooper was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .474. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .385 or higher in four consecutive games.

Cooper pushed their record up to 16-5 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Saltillo, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

As of now, neither Cooper nor the Lions have any future games scheduled.
