The Star International Academy Falcons had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 43-31 win over Universal Learning Academy. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Star International Academy also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Despite the loss, Universal Learning Academy saw an underclassman step up: Sara Mansour dropped a double-double on 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Star International Academy's victory bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Universal Learning Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Chavez Academy the next time they take the court. Star International Academy will host Chavez Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while Universal Learning Academy will host them at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
