While losing is never fun, Blessed Trinity can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 447th, while Marist is ranked 222nd).
Leading Marist to victory were Luke Harpring and Owen Ritger. Harpring scored 16 points along with six assists, while Ritger scored 16 points along with nine rebounds and three blocks. The match was Harpring's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trace Gaynes, who scored ten points.
Blessed Trinity has not been sharp recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season. As for Marist, they pushed their record up to 4-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road.
Blessed Trinity will square off against Walton at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Marist is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Walnut Grove at 3:30 p.m. on December 20th.
