Anna Ramos made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Scarlet Tawney, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one run and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Heritage waltzed into their contest on Friday with three straight wins... but they left with four. They never let the Phoenix get on the board and left with a 15-0 win.
Noelle Smith was incredible, firing off two home runs, six RBI, and one double while going 3-for-4. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Ryleigh Dooley was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and two doubles.
Heritage hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.
Loudoun Valley now has a losing record of 8-9. As for Heritage, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
Heritage's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Loudoun Valley has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. It's a different story for Heritage, though, as they've been averaging 9 hits. Given Loudoun Valley's sizable advantage in that area, the Pride will need to find a way to close that gap.
Loudoun Valley was able to grind out a solid win over Heritage when the teams last played back in April, winning 8-5. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Pride have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
