The Hillcrest Huskies have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Herriman Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th.
Last Friday, Hillcrest came up short against Cedar Valley and fell 57-46. Hillcrest has not had much luck with Cedar Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the most dominant came from Damani Wilkerson, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. He scored a full 28.3% of Hillcrest's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Tanner, who dropped a double-double on 10 points and 10 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Herriman earned a 58-49 victory over Farmington on Saturday.
Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Herriman, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
Hillcrest came out on top in a nail-biter against Herriman when the teams last played back in November of 2022, sneaking past 71-68. Will Hillcrest repeat their success, or does Herriman have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
