The Deer Valley Wolverines can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They walked away with a 49-41 win over Freedom. The victory was just what Deer Valley needed coming off of a 44-21 defeat in their prior game.
Jai'on Gary was his usual excellent self, rushing for 115 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 242 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per attempt. Shawndell Hines did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 106 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Deer Valley's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Freedom, their defeat was their fifth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-9.
Deer Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Freedom also has no future games currently scheduled.
