After a string of three wins, the Roosevelt Bears's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 40-31 hit to the loss column at the hands of Carlson. Roosevelt was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Carlson apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2023.
Abigail Carafelli was the offensive standout of the game as she scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Addison Wallace, who scored eight points.
Roosevelt's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Carlson, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Roosevelt will challenge Trenton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Carlson, they will head out on the road to challenge Anderson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Anderson is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
