Palmer has gone a perfect 10-0 against Houston recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Moose are taking a road trip to take on the Hawks at 5:00 p.m. Palmer knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Houston likes a good challenge.
If Palmer beats Houston with 11 runs on Friday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Moose beat Redington on Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 11-1. Considering the Moose have won five games by more than nine runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Zander Landon and Tristan Barrey made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Landon tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Meanwhile, Barrey tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one hit in four consecutive appearances. At the plate, Landon went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI, while Barrey went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases Barrey has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Reed Craner, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Palmer is undefeated when Craner posts two or more runs, but 2-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Marques Hall, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Houston faced Wasilla in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Hawks lost 11-1 to the Warriors. The Hawks have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost meeting.
Palmer is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Houston, they now have a losing record of 4-5.
Palmer took their victory against Houston when the teams last played on Saturday by a conclusive 11-1 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Moose since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
