Ayer Shirley/Bromfield had to travel to play their first game of the season, and the final result was worth the trip. They were able to grind out a solid win over Clinton on Friday, winning 13-6. Clinton can consider this payback for the 19-36 defeat they dealt Ayer Shirley/Bromfield the last time the teams encountered one another. This was the first game for both teams, giving Ayer Shirley/Bromfield a 1-0 record and starting Clinton off at 0-1.
Next week Ayer Shirley/Bromfield take on Southbridge at 7:00 PM. As for Clinton, they will face off against Oakmont Regional.
