Lake Balboa College Prep wouldn't go down easily and took Magnolia Science Academy Reseda into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 18-25, 25-20, 25-14, 14-25, 20-18.
Discovery will have to keep a close watch on Molly Yeagley and Nare Orujyan, a pair of players who had a big impact on Lake Balboa College Prep's prior game. Yeagley had ten digs, while Orujyan had 18 digs, 11 kills, and six aces.
Lake Balboa College Prep's loss dropped their record down to 14-6-1. As for Discovery, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-7-1.
