The Sanger Apaches entered their tilt with the Garces Memorial Rams with seven consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with eight. Sanger simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat Garces Memorial 35-0 at home. The result was nothing new for Sanger, who have now won seven games by 27 points or more so far this season.
Israel Robles was his usual excellent self, rushing for 173 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 7.2 yards per carry. Robles is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last seven games he's played. Marquis Cropper made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Sanger's win was their ninth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 10-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 31.67 points. As for Garces Memorial, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Sanger will head out on the road to face off against Clovis East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Clovis East knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past four contests -- so hopefully Sanger likes a good challenge. Garces Memorial does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
