Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Summit SkyHawks, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They took a 69-56 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Apaches on Wednesday. Summit's loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Arcadia's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jordan Dollar led the charge by scoring 20 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Noa Eteuati-Edwards, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Summit's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-13. As for Arcadia, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season.
Summit does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Arcadia, they will take on Troy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Troy is coming into the contest with three straight victories on the road, meaning Arcadia will have to defend against a team hungry for a win.
