The Pinecrest Academy Paladins's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They took a hard 70-56 fall against Cristo Rey Atlanta. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pinecrest Academy's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Joe Frain, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds, and Johnny Lynch who scored 23 points. The contest was Frain's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Pinecrest Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pinecrest Academy won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Georgia Force Christian at 6:30 p.m. on December 9th. Georgia Force Christian has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 307 points over their last four games. As for Cristo Rey Atlanta, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Marist at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Marist focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Saturday.
