With a playoff win on the line, Cottonwood rose to the challenge on Friday. They never let the Ranburne Bulldogs get on the board and left with a 13-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won 13 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Cottonwood's fifth in a row) raised their record to 22-5. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.4 runs on average over those games. As for Ranburne, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-19.

Cottonwood will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
