The Deer Trail Eagles's game  last Saturday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them  on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a  28-26  victory over Bethune. That's another feather in the cap for Deer Trail, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
 Deer Trail got their  win on the backs of several key players, but it was  Ally Hardwick out in front who  dropped  a double-double on ten points and 13  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaden Gudenkauf, who  scored ten points along with three  steals.
 Deer Trail's victory bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Bethune, they have  been struggling recently, as they've  lost six of their last seven games,  which put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.
 Deer Trail will look to defend their home court  on Friday against Weldon Valley at 5:00  p.m. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Colorado (Weldon Valley is ranked 246th, while Deer Trail is ranked 258th). As for Bethune, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Genoa-Hugo/Karval at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Genoa-Hugo/Karval and three for Bethune.
