Northview has gone 8-1 against Pensacola Christian Academy recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Northview Chiefs will square off against the Pensacola Christian Academy Warriors at 6:30 p.m. Northview is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Northview's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Escambia County as Northview made off with a 12-0 win. The victory continues a trend for the Chiefs in their matchups with the Blue Devils: they've now won four in a row.

Brady Smith was excellent, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Jayden White was another key player, scoring two runs.

Meanwhile, Pensacola Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Central, falling 14-3. The Warriors have struggled against the Jaguars recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Tradley Thompson made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored a run while going 2-for-4.

The win got Northview back to even at 3-3. As for Pensacola Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-3-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Friday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Northview has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Pensacola Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

Northview took their victory against Pensacola Christian Academy in their previous matchup back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for Northview since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
